Oberon High School has implemented a BYOD program from year 7-12. This means that students may bring any compatible device to use for their schoolwork. This can include devices that have been used at previous schools, or any other device that students have access to, so long as it meets the minimum requirements of the school network (see below for these specifications).
You may also purchase a suitable device through the JB Education portal. We have carefully selected a range of options that will best support your child’s learning. It’s important to note that the Year 7 -12 BYOD program remains entirely optional, and the devices recommended for this program are on display for your consideration.
The Oberon BYOD program aims to provide enhanced opportunities for innovation and creativity while continuing to foster the excellent academic culture that has already been established at Oberon High School. We believe that these changes will better serve the educational needs of our students.
See below for what is on offer for our program.
Students can bring a device that they already own or purchase a new device to meet their needs.
Devices must have support for Windows 10 , MacOS 64bit and IOS 17 (iPad Air 3” or above) operating systems, proxies and enterprise wireless networks.
Note: This option may limit the scope of support that our school technicians can provide.
